The quietest piece in my studio is a gray canvas with two small red marks on it.

Scribe is the slow collection. Gray, black, and cream, with color only when it earns its place. Each piece is built through layering, scraping, and sanding until the surface holds the traces of time. The name comes from the act of incising a deliberate mark into a surface. These paintings are gestural but restrained, and they're meant to complete a room without competing with it.

Come see the first pieces on the Art page, and let me know what you see in them.
