Assemblage: Acrylic Paint, Wax Pencil, Paper, Canvas & Waxed Twine on Cardboard Box 9.5"w x 12.5"h x 2.5"d ©2026

Available for Purchase

The Grist Collection is assemblage. Cardboard boxes, newspaper, dictionary pages, painted canvas fragments, and waxed twine, all layered, bound, worn down, and built back up.

The word means raw material fed into a process, what goes in as one thing and comes out as another. Every piece begins with a surface that already carries history, and I'm focused on it's first life as much as the new one as I pull each piece together.

These are objects more than paintings, and no photograph does them justice.

Grist will be on view at Millrace Gallery next month. More details soon.
